My Dell Axim x30 Mid (312 Mhz) is a pretty snappy device. However, it seems like the freeware program Magic Button EATS performance. Sometimes it is about 30 seconds before it responds after I power on. That defeats the purpose of instant-on. I also use cLaunch and InsertCredit Battery Bar.
I understand that Today plug-ins will slow performance, but I think that 30 seconds is a little extreme. Anyone else have same experience or more insight?
Sure, my soft reset takes 30 seconds, too. I'm saying that I will leave a couple apps open (including Magic Button), then power off. Then, when I turn the power back on, it takes about the same amount of time as a soft reset before the the device will respond to screen taps. It doesn't seem to have the same problem when Magic Button is closed.
Thanks for the info, Texican.
