Outlook Errors with ActiveSync 3.7.1

For the last few months, I have been chasing an ActiveSync bug in Outlook 2000. It has only occurred on folks using laptops in my organization. (same software image loaded on desktops and laptops except for hardware drivers). The folks with PCs have not been affected.
The problem was in Outlook 2000. Users could no longer access recurring appointments. They couldn't open, modify, or delete them. They couldn't even right click on them.
After much searching and pulling hair out, I stumbled upon a Google article on FRMCACHE.DLL. I deleted this file and all was well again.
The file was in the c:\program files\Microsoft Office\Addins directory.
FYI in case any of you ever end up with this problem.
Terry

So are you still having problems or is this fixed now?"

Deleting the FRMCACHE.DLL solved the problem.
