First off, Pocket Informant is a great app. It is one of the apps I call a "super PIM". Agenda Fusion is the other one. And although I give the edge to Pocket Informant, it does use quite a bit of memory. To address this issue, our favorite hacker, Frank (i.e. ctitanic) has created PItoMem which he promises will let you recover 1MB of the memory taken up by Pocket Informant's .dlls.
I haven't tried it yet, but it's only a matter of time before I do. And I'll let you know how well it works.
Brad, the demo is not functional, it just let you open the application and see how it looks. But I have a free copy for you ready just let me know when do you need it.
Thanks Frank, that's awful nice of you. Would you like to email (admin(at)pocketpcaddict.com) or some other method?
P.S. Will my old Tweaks2k.net serial work on my new Dell? Between the two hacks, I should be able to recover 2-3 MB!
well, if you use Tweask2K2 you wont need PItoMem, PItoMem was created in an effort to bring PI users this hack without having to pay for Tweaks2K2. But both sofwares do the same. If you apply the trick using PItoMem after it has been applied using Tweaks2K2, PItoMem wont do anything.

Your key was created using the Owner field from your PPC, so as long as you keep the same information in the new PPC you wont need a new key. The same applies if you own more than one PPC with the same Owner information.
Ok, Agenda Fusion is included in Tweaks2K2. PItoMem was requested by Alex Kac, maker of PI. Alex and me thought that would be a good idea to work together in this project.
I´m releasing v1.1 this weekend. That version is prepared for in coming new releases of PI. Everytime that you update PI, PItoMem will show you that dlls are located in Windows and all you will have to do is re apply the trick using PItoMem (in current version 1.0, you have to undo the trick before updating PI and then apply it again).
version 1.1 also fix a little incompatibility with Pocket PC 2000 and 2002 for old devices.
Wow! just applied the move and it moved 1,500 k to storage!
So the automatic scan in Tweaks2k.NET does the Pocket informant files automatically?
Yes, it does.
PItoMem is the result of the colaboration between WebIs and PC Counselor to bring PI users a cheaper alternative in case they don't want to pay for the whole collection of tricks in Tweaks2K2.
Oh -- wait a minute...I'm a little slow on the uptake....I just realized, since I own Tweaks2K and PI...I can already do this....Doh! (Slapping myself on the forehead).....Now I get it!

i think that it's time to buy one of those ppcs at 624 mhz
Frank:
I just bought the Tweaks2K software. I think I misunderstood that this PI improvement comes with it. Is it a different product, or will this do the same thing?
Thanks!

Ok, let me explain it again...
This trick was originally included in Tweaks2K2 where the program moves a list of dlls from Windows to any memory device, within that list are included the PI dlls too.
Talking to Alex, he thought that could be a good idea to have that trick in a separate program, just to move the PI dlls at a very very low price. So this is how the PItoMem was created.
is it clear now? 8)
