I just wish that Microsoft would provide the .cab file for MS Reader so that mobile users, or those without access to a Windows machine, can install it as well.
I tried to ask MS support about this, but ended up exchanging 12 e-mails with several of their support people who didn't seem to know anything about PPCs and couldn't understand that I wanted to install Reader manually as I wasn't able to run the .exe file it came in because I don't have a Windows machine.
Very frustrating.
I^ve been told they won't distribute it that way because on their website they check to see if you have the latest version and you also have to be connected to a desktop to activate the reader.

also you were asking that they provide a way to eliminate their cash cow (Windows) from the loop. They want you to install on Windows first and then you can have a cab file.
