Thanks to Lightman's keen eye over at PDACorps today, we now learn there is a new version of the excellent ebook reader µBook for Windows and Pocket PCs that can read HTML, TXT, RTF, PDB and PRC (not secure) ebook files. It can read directly from inside ZIP files, and supports BMP, GIF, PNG and JPG images.
The new version offers:
• Added 8-bit color support. Thanks to the guys at Booken -- Check them out!
• Added HTML Table and Table borders. (Doesn't support some styles and tables in tables are mostly handled wrongly, for now...)
• Added Access to upcoming TextQualityAnalyzer by Andreas Muegge -- stay tuned!
• Added Options for turning tables parsing on or off, and for forcing table borders on.
• Rewrote Auto-Scroll function that uses a lot less CPU for drawing, i.e. longer battery life.
• Added possibility to move to other page while drag selecting by going over next/previous page zones wit cursor.
• Fixed problem with drag select and current search selection.
• Fixed bug with deleting Entries in Annotations/TOC page (they get deleted, the page doesn't get updated).
• Fixed list indent problem with HTML parser (for the nth times...).
• Fixed extra garbage in text copy from RTF files. Fixed sticky CAPS flag...
