Back in February, we reported on a new iPod emulator for the Pocket PC called the pPod and how shortly thereafter Apple sued them and we got the response from Starbrite (the creators): "Due to considerable legal pressure from Apple we are no longer able to distribute the pPod / pBop application. Although some of their claims were legally flawed we do not have the funds to fight such as case."
Strange enough, it would seem that Greg Mills Photography is tempting some of the same problems by not only creating an iPod type of skin, they chose to name pPod, the same name as the former disputed product. The pPod skin is listed on Pocketgear for $1.95 "The way I see it, the Apple iPod has two things going for it, lots of memory and a great design. But don't envy them. After all, your PPC's memory is expandable, theirs isn't. And your PPC is a great media player it just needs a style upgrade.
That's where pPod comes in. pPod is a skin for Pocket Media Player. There's no new software to install. Just sync a few files to your PPC and select the pPod skin inside of Media Player."
