I'm a self-admitted novice to the PPC world, so please be kind.
I'm looking for recommendations for software. I think I need a PIM from reading the forums, but I want to make sure. I'm not happy with the way my PPC notifies me of meetings and events. I'd love to be able to change the alarm, and I need it to repeat, etc. Maybe I don't need an app for this? I'd also like to be able to keep track of appointments/events for more than one person - maybe being able to use a different font/color for each individual.
Also, I'd like to find some software that will let me track my pets' information. From when they're due for immunizations (with a reminder) to when I gave them medicine, their special needs information, etc.
I also need some sort of backup utility. Something that will let me pick and choose apps/files to backup and restore. When I need to restore, I often only want to restore a file or an app and not a FULL restore.
If there are any more "must-have" apps (I already have AND use Achieve-It!) that anyone can recommend, I'd be grateful for the suggestions!

What type of device do you have? The OS2003 devices have repeating alarms built in. You can change the sounds of the alarms by adding new sounds to your "sounds library"-- more on this later. Keeping track of more than your schedule can be tricky and is probably best handled with categories and may necessitate an add on PIM. The highest rated PIM add ons are Pocket Informant ( www.pocketinformant.com ) and Agenda Fusion ( www.developerone.com ) -- you can assign category colors or icons to different schedules, etc., and filter accordingly.
Tracking your pets info can easily be incorporated into one of those two apps.
As far as backup software, I think you are looking at Sprite Backup. www.spritesoftware.com it lets you pick and choose.
