Tools For PPC?

Does anyone know of any programs similar to Pocket Mechanic, only it's for the actual ppc itself and does the same type things....defragment, clean up? If anyone knows of such a program please let me know.
Thanks.

I used Space Reclaimer to clean up my PPC.
What exactly are you trying to do?

I wanted to do things like defrag it or scan disk, as well as clean up. Do you need to do things like that to a pocket pc? I would think so but I really don't know. I figure if there are programs for doing those things for a storage card, there's got to be something for the ppc hardware. Maybe I'm wrong. If someone knows please let me know. :?
Thanks.

I've never defragged or did a scandisk on my PPC (I don't even know if you can Doh! )....
I don't really think you need to...but I do run a cleanup which is included in Pocket Mechanic "System Cleanup"....You should be fine with that...

Yes I did. I think it's great! I've had my ppc a while, but I've learned several different things just from reading the forums. I love it.
Thanks!!! :P I appreciate the welcome!

Yes, but we're more consistent.
An important system maintenance that I recommend is backup frequently and soft reset occasionally.

Consistency is important, too.
Thanks for the tip. I'll make sure I do that. 8)

I would add that you may want to back up your storage card periodically. I had a nasty experience with Pocket Mechanic that wiped all my data.
It turned out that there was a bug in the app and the developers response was along the lines of "I posted it (the bug) on my forum and you should've backed up your storage card anyway". At the time I kinda thought that backing up my cards would defeat the objective of maintaining them.
But having said that I'm aware that memory cards can fail on you at the most inopportune moments.
So do the wise thing, if you can't afford to lose it, save it.
You may want to check out this link Backup Utilities for the Pocket PC this is also posted on the front page, just in case you missed it

Thank you. I'll make sure I do all of those things. Thanks for your input.
