Wow, that was quick! iPaq HQ has already posted a review of Pocket Plus 2.0 that was released yesterday. Actually, I believe he got an advanced copy, so he had more than 1 day to play with it. "I can hear the retorts now: "Why should I pay almost $15 to get what I can get from other places for free? After all, Pocket Plus just adds some functions that I can get with a collection of freeware." That argument may be true, but the integration of all of these functions in one package that is clean, crisp and well done is well worth the money. By having it all in one package you know it works together, but with a collection of other products, particularly freeware, there is no guarantee of inter-operability. "
But when they pulled that BS with the Battery Pack Pro. I decided to find a replacement.
SBP Pocket Plus is FANTASTIC. They also don't make unrealistic claims about free lifetime updates. So, when you buy you know what you have to do to keep current. I don't feel like I'm going to be ripped off and SPB will decommissionPocket Plus and jack the price up for a Pocket Plus Pro.
I get the impression that Pocket Plus will be on a straight version path and they will continue to update and make meaningful upgrades to the product without running a scam like Omega One.
Pocket Plus replaced Battery Pack and cLaunch for me. I'm happy with it and can't wait for your review, Brad.

It has a number of differences that I find worthwhile. Some of them are probably more important in VGA but may be useful in QVGA, too.
The single best thing I like is the thin battery meter that runs across the entire top of your screen. Takes up no space and is visible no matter what app you're running.
I also like the ability to mix and match large and small icons in the launcher. You can get it just like you like it by dragging them wherever you want.
You can see what it looks like in a screen image posted Pocket Plus 2.0 in VGA

I just downloaded the latest version and it does not work. Can not see the tabs, the icon space is way to small ... the today screen is useless.
I must change my opinion.
