Helllooo,
To join the Pocket PC Addict Editorial Team and become a News and Review Editor, there are just a few questions you have to ask yourself:
1. Do you find yourself spending way too much time reading up on the latest news and reviews in the handheld world?
2. Do you like contributing to, and having your posts read by, an enormous community on a daily or weekly basis?
3. Do you like plain meatloaf or super-chic organic tofu patties? Do you not like either?
4. Have you ever wrestled a bear and won? or lost?
5. Do you like attempting to write witty monologues?
If you said "YES" to four, five, twelve, or more of the previous questions, think about joining our News Editorial Team. But in all seriousness, you'll have the incredible opportunity to work alongside our celebrated team, including our brilliant Editor-in-Chief, Tim Nguyen, super saucy Senior News Editor, Jane Lee, and once in awhile myself, the organizer and chef. We'll work together, actively and passionately, to become to #1 stop in the online world for the Pocket PC.
The job description will be outlined in greater detail upon your application, but for now, here are what your responsibilities entail:
1. Be an active part of the team -- work, brainstorm, and support each member of the group as we collectively try to make Pocket PC Addict the place to be. Shoot, we have over 16,000 members already -- why not help us take it to the next level and try to become one of the largest communities, hands down, and make it 64,000?
2. In a disciplined fashion, keep the site fresh by sharing the news and reviews you care about with our online community on at least a biweekly basis.
3. Make sure site content is fresh, so sometimes, that means you'll have to contribute on more than a biweekly basis.
4. Be prompt and active with communication. Use email, instant messengers, and PMs to update the collective team with what's hot and what's not.
5. Get familiar with our other editors.
I don't want this to be the cornerstone reason to join the team, but we get quite a bit of free stuff from vendors . Again, this should just be an incentive, not the driving force behind your application.
Email me at: yy@pocketpcaddict.com or PM me to apply!
