I am thankful for -
My children - Kassandra Marie (23) and that she has found such success and satisfaction in her career in acting... states employed and is on her own (with a litte help from her family)
For Ryan Joseph, (22) my eldest son that has overcome his autism and gets up every morning at 5:30 to catch a bus to work and then catches one home each night. While many others with his disabilities may have found reasons to fail, he keeps on keeping on ...
For Tyler John (14) our high school freshman - who even after breaking a bone each football season, continued his dream and played as a Freshman... his heart and determination took him from being a back up player in preseason to a two way starter by the end of year and making the varsity roster at the end of the year.
For our youngest princess Shelbie (Bob) who will turn 4 this Sunday at her very own Princess Tea Party - she keeps us all alive and on our toes.
These are the reasons for health and happiness in our house.
When my dad's dad was my age they got electricity on the farm.
When my dad was my age he got a touch-tone telephone.
I am loving the latest in tools/toys/technology.
I am thankful for the possibilities for when my son is my age...
I am thankful for the dirty house that never seems to get clean that reminds me that my children are here with me.
I am thankful for the money I don't have that makes it easy for me not to have to worry about spending it.
I am thankful for my son's disabilities that give others the opportunity to show us love and support. And, for the medical professionals who give there talents to give him a normal life.
I am thankful for all of my shortcomings that give me the reason to discover the better side of me.
I'm thankful for:
Pain, because it's reminding me that I am still alive!
Financial woes, because they makes me realize how rich I actually am with the love and support of my family and friends.
Devices and software that cause my device to go BLOOEY, because I always learn more from my mistakes than from the things that go smoothly.
Living in Southern California, even tho it's likely to fall into the ocean at any moment, because it reminds me of how to live life on the edge.
Faith, because it reminds me that I am never truly alone.
My son, because he reminds me that even though I am "old" and "don't get it" I can still be "cool."
And, I am very thankful for this website, because it reminded me that there is always knowledge to be shared, people who are willing to teach, people who want to learn, and are willing to be there to support each other.

I'm thankful for this forum and the contributors herein. I have learned a lot and have saved a lot of time and energy applying the needed apps to my PDA.
Have a Happy!
- for everything I have, which is probably more than I need
- but especially, for my car
- my car took me and my 2 nephews to South Carolina from NJ (almost 1,400 miles round trip!).
- we visited a nice couple of recent retirees (Mom&DAd, GrandMa & GrandPa) for the long weekend.
- Just seeing their happy, excited, emotional faces when we arrived made every mile worth it.
- It was like Christmas came for them 1 month early.
- I'm thankful for this little trip and the memories it created.
The contest has officially ended and we'd like to thank all of our entries as well as our sponsors! We'll contact the winners shortly and post them up on this forum topic! Thanks again and until next time!
