I thought we had posted about Microsoft's Channel 9 website concept last month. But try as I might, I couldn't find the original post. I used search and everything . Anyway, it's an interesting place for "tech heads" to hang around and share ideas about coding, ideas and a hodgepodge of other things.
Their mission statement reads: "Channel 9 started as a personal story from one of us about fear of flying. Lenn realized after years of dealing with it, that it was actually a fear of the unknown. The fear was conquered through learning. The more transparency into what it took to fly a plane, the more the fear went away. Lenn got to know pilots who flew planes everyday, and every time he flew he turned on Channel 9 on the in-flight audio system to listen in to the cockpit."
Tonight, Scott Swanson has a few posts that include videos. One of which is his view on What does the next version of Visual Studio do for mobile users?. Check it out...at least go to see the way the site is constructed...pretty eclectic huh? "Developing for Mobile Devices is starting to be hot and one of the things that Scott Swanson likes most about the next version of Visual Studio is the aides for building applications for the new SmartPhones.
Scott also lets slip that the help team also is "eating the dogfood" (which means to use their own product to build their product) and is building Visual Studio's help features in C#."
