One of the first questions I often here from new Pocket PC users is how they can play movies or music on their new device. Since PPC as a PDA has the entertainment edge over other PDAs like Palm, that's a great question. However, since there are so many different solutions for Pocket Entertainment, the question can be answered in many different ways.
William Hungerford over at Lockergnome has written a pretty good overview of various solutions in his writeup The PDA As An Entertainment Tool. Although it doesn't describe any new movie players or MP3 players for Pocket PC, he does discuss Movie guides,Television, Music and Entertainment games. "It's amazing all the things you can do with a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant). At its core, a PDA can do just about everything your home computer can do - such as word processing, contact management, e-mail, Web surfing, and so much more. But did you know that a PDA can also enhance your home entertainment? Have you ever looked up movie reviews on your computer? How about checking an online TV guide? I bet you at least listen to mp3s on your PC. Well, this month we're going to show you how to integrate your PDA into your home entertainment lifestyle. Since we're talking software to enhance your PDA's entertainment value, and we know not everyone uses the same type of PDAs, I've giving you some options for both Palm and Pocket PC users"
