Change Your System Wait Symbol

Tired of the normal Wait symbol that spins as your Pocket PC processes data? Well, personally, I never thought about it. However, a German Site has developed a tool that lets you change your system wait symbol from this:
to something more interesting like this:

They've already ported over the infamous hamster wait symbol as well.
Like I said above, the forum thread is in German, with some English thrown in here and there. If you really want to try it, you should be able to figure it out with very little trouble. And if you come up with a cool wait symbol, post it here!

Yeah I have. As a matter of fact if you look on his site you will see the one with a man running in a hamster wheel.
He was looking for something like that, so I sent the gif to him and he created the icon.
I'm using that one now. Also have the lava lamp.
Love 'em all

That is pretty spiffy. That's one thing I hadn't seen for the PPC yet!

Finally got around to trying this!
It's definitely kinda fun, but some of the images just don't work on a Pocketpc 2002 device e.g. dancing banana , but shooting Neo works just fine
(Really wanted dancing banana though, it's just so fun and fruity )

Guess I should also point out that the German sites doesn't have to be translated any more as JuryDuty at ->
http://www.masellis.com/wait/index.htm
Has a couple of apps that just need to be copied over to the device and ran on the PDA, you can then download as many images as you want (or design your own!) and select which one you want to display (followed by a soft reset) If you don't like it just roll it back. No converting, hacking, slashing or other stuff.
Very nice. 8)

I tried this app, but couldn't get it to work...I guess I didn't spend enough time ironing it out, though.

After spending most of yesterday afternoon translating the german forum, I realised it had already been done (Doh! )
So I didn't really figure anything out I just followd the tutorial thingie e.g. downloaded the Wait! app
Copied the CAB to my devices storage card
Installed (ignoring the error message)
downloaded the WaitSelect app
Unzipped the WaitSelect.exe and copied it to my storage card (same folder as above)
downloaded some images (shooting neo & dancing banana)
Changed the name (mui bit) to ban & neo
Copied the files to the above storage card folder.
Changed the WaitSelect 'File from path' to reflect the folder path
Then selected an image and soft reset when prompted.
Hey presto Shooting Neo 8) and mangled up dancing banana (some thing to do with the animation timing in PPC2002 or something!)

Just a reminder!!!!!!!
I did back up my device before install in the Wait! app (just in case).
I suggest anyone else who tries the app does the same!
