Surfing from Bed? Or the bathroom?

Am I the only one in the world who surfs the web from crazy places like my bed or the bathroom ? I think not. I check email, read my books, and goof with ICQ all from the comfort of my bed. My buddy says he messages me from the toilet quite often, I ask him not to tell me when he's in there though.
Where's the weirdest place you surf?

LOL!
I surf from the garage sometimes, or the doghouse when I get in trouble.

I like to surf from bed too - it's great fun! Only problem, it keeps me up too late
Oh, and it's sort of hard to make website posts using stylus entry methods, but if you are just reading it's awesome!

i've im'd in Court, after court in a coffee shop using wifi (thank you verizon!!!!), and while on my commuter bus. surfing in the bed or bathroom? that's not strange - that's my daily occurrence - there, the couch, etc.

You aren't alone. Surfing from bed is fun and pretty much is the real reason for home WiFi networks

How about surfing from the shower? Might result in a few calls to Tech support.

Question: what 3rd party wifi solutions are people using?

I bought a Linksys CF 802 card a while back, and while it worked like a dream for about a month (or less), now it's completly useless!! If its not crashing my ipaq 3850, its not being recognized by the driver software. So basically I've got a wifi network at home, and nothing to connect to it... what are other people using? and has anyone else had similar probs with a linksys?

Bru,
My first instinct is to tell you to hard reset your iPAQ. The reason is that if it DID work for a time but now it doesn't the most likely culprit is incompatible software that has fiddled with your network card settings or drivers. All it takes is one problem piece of software to cause a mess of issues :?
You can always backup and restore if the hard reset idea doesn't work -- but I'd certainly try that before going without wifi access

It's been awhile since I've hard reset one of those models, but I believe you hold down your calendar and itask button and then, using your stylus, push in the hidden soft reset button at the bottom.
The screen will sort of fade out - letting you know it has hard reset. You will push the soft reset button again to turn it on.
HTH,
Brad
P.S. be sure to backup.

Yes...that does suck. Can you take it back for a refund or exchange?

Just to confirm, when you hard reset your device, it wiped out ALL of your data right? A hard reset will bring your device back to factory settings. When you brought it back up you would have had to readjust the screen, copy and paste an appointment for practice, re-enter your owner info, etc. If you didn't have to do this stuff, then you only soft reset it.
If you were successful in hard resetting, you might want to download the latest drivers if you haven't already. If you've done that, is it possible that you could return it for service or replacement?
Even though it's a headache now, I think it can be fixed one way or another.
Keep us posted!

Looks like you guys kind of went beyond that, but I have to put my two cents in. I surf from the bed and the bathtub (soaking in hot water). I put my Axim or BE-300 in a plastic baggie, just in case I do my well-documented thing and drop the device. So far, not a single mishap!

Once I climbed 30 metres up a tree to surf the internet in Singapore. That afternoon the sun burnt bright like an orange ball of flame until it sunk for the night.
