Hi all,
I'm confused as to which memory will fit in my Dell E520.
The Kingston website is telling me I can have "2GB 800MHz CL5 Module" - 2 of, in matching pairs, to take me up to 4gb. I have 4 slots, incidentally, so presumably 8gb would work.
The Crucial memory tool however says I can only fit 4 * 1gb; it doesn't give me any detail on the memory speed.
I'm a bit lost here; can anyone help? According to the CPUID tool, I have a Dell OWG864 motherboard.
The total ram for your device is 4gb, and you need to put it in as matching pairs....ie. 2 in each bank to total the maximum for the computer. So no it will not work with 8gb.....
