I have a hp ipaq 2003. I have left it for some weeks now, but when i try to charge it with the USB-cable from the computer, th red light comes on for som seconds, then it tries to boot up. it comes to the windows mobile logo, and then dies. And the process repeats like this for hours. Can anyone tell me how i can roubleshoot this problem?
Also how long are we talking that you left the unit off. How old is the battery itself? See the main battery life is dependent on the use and recharging on a regular basis. If not used and recharged for a long period of time it can be damaged. You may have to replace main battery. But like Shogun said, try to charge it for a longer period of time first to see if it will take a full charge.....
