I have an HP iPaq 210 running WM6. I frequently use it with a bluetooth device that the HP thinks is a headset (that's the Bluetooth profile I use anyway).
For reasons too boring to get into here, what I want to do is to tell the iPaq to pay attention to sounds coming in on the Bluetooth link, but to direct output sounds to the iPaq's speaker. By default it seems the iPaq wants to treat my Bluetooth headset as both the input and output sound device. I just want it to use it as an input device.
On my Windows XP laptop, this is easily done by using the "Sounds and Audio Devices" control panel, picking my laptop for "Sound Playback" and picking my bluetooth device for "Sound Recording". This effectively turns my bluetooth device into a microphone instead of a headset, which is exactly what I'm trying to do.
I have searched in vain for some kind of alternate control panel for my iPaq but have come up empty. Anyone know if there is a solution to my problem?
