radio upgrade for Cingular 8125

I have a Cingular 8125, and work in a hospital where my reception is terrible. I can walk outside and the phone works just fine, so it's not that I'm too far from the nearest tower.
Is there any way to boost reception on my phone?
the radio is currently 2.25 and I tried the 2.61 but it said my device was not compatble.

Im pretty nooby, so what you said didnt make sense. You got a G3, so theres and easy to find radio update for it. I cant find the radio update for my G4.

Did you have a G4 to begin with, then downgraded? I just want to be able to use my phone in my house without going outside to get signal.
