hey guys...I am new here..i was just googling up this topic and came across your website. I am hoping someone can help me out here. I am not familiar with pocketpc/ pc terms...i use it because it helps me with my work. so if someone can explain it to me in lamest terms...would be fine. I recently got 8125 because i was tired of using PDA and phone seperatly. 8125 seemed like a 2 in 1 deal. I had it unlocked to use with tmobile service. I need to figure out how to send picture msgs. I tried it on 8125 but it seems to dial some number and keeps connecting via cingular eventhough i tried to follow steps like the one posted in this forum.
Each of the phone providers installs settings to use thier service with the phone. Your phone is unlocked but you are going to need to manually make the settings to work with t-mobile. Are the steps you followed for cingular or tmobile?
hey Schmenge...one instructions were for cingular phone with atnt service and other instructions were for tmobile phone i believe..i didnt find anything specific for cingular phone with tmobile service...
Hey Schemenge, here is what i have so far..under connections..i have one 'tmobile'. under manage existing connections, i have ' picturemessaging' only with modem as cellilar line (GPRS), access point name "wap.voicestream.com". under GPRS setting i have PAP authentication checked. under MMs configuration servers, i have "picturemessaging" as server name, gateway is 216.155.165.050, port no is 80, server address is http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
connect via :tmobile
after all these steps, I still get error sayin that "unable to send message".
Thanks
Hmm... not sure but I know a couple places I can check. To verify a couple of points... Can you get out to the internet using PIE (Pocket Internet Explorer)? What application are you using to send the picture messages?
Hey.. If there is a WiFi available, I can connect to it. and be able to use PIE. but otherwise cant open PIE. and I am not sure how to look up what application i am using for MMs.
Thanks
