I run Linux on my desktop and servers so I'm new to this whole PPC scene but it is pretty cool. I've been playing with MobiTv and some other stuff, and want to be able to get the audio via my earpiece.
I'm currently on an ATT Tilt using the Jawbone but also have access to a BlueAnt and a Motorola Pure.
Here is what happens:
I click the earpiece button, and for a second or two I get the audio.
Then the Voice Dial Command window pops up, expecting me to say something. If I hit cancel, audio goes back to the phone.
Is it possible to temporarily disable the voice dial so I can get the audio via the earpiece?
I want to able to watch cartoons without disturbing my neighbors while I'm standing in line
its really cool i can listen to music while still able to hear people around me. i see my friends at college listen to their ipods with one earpiece in and the other hanging out. this is a really cool wireless solution. just remember to read the requirements and such. if you need to install the compact framework for Windows Mobile, you can find it @ microsoft's website. i personally use compact framework version 3.5 which is the latest version for Windows Mobile 5/6. also to remember to go into your programs folder and you have to manually turn the program on (after installing this app first, its a .cab file i believe so you should be able to have easy installation) so it sends the data to your earpiece before you jumpstart you media.
Thanks for the info. Thankfully I found an easier solution:
1. return Jawbone
2. return Pure
3. return Blueant
4. buy a Jabra BT8040
it supports A2DP out of the box and I can listen to audio directly via the ear piece. Very nice for vids/mobitv etc. . . . plus I wear glasses and with no ear clip it is the smallest, best fitting ear piece out there IMO.
