8125 Wi-Fi only works when connected to pc

Wi-Fi only works when connected to pc. What up with that? Driving me crazy. I did get wifi once at a resurant. Now its not working. I have a lynksys router that has a wep key on it. But My 8125 wont pick anything up.

Are you sire that wi-fi is working when using AS? It seems more likely that you get out to the Internet via AS when connected. Do you have your router set to braodcast your SSID? Your PPC will not "see" your router if you do not. After you connect the first time you can go back to not broadcasting.

i turned the battery up to the max. Now is seems that the phone cant decide which connection to connect to. It keeps disconnecting and reconnecting.
Even if the connection is wep protected I should still get a pop up that says i need a wep right? I dont get that.
