Hi, Can anyone please explain to me the difference in power connectors for the HTC Touch phone (by Sprint)? The bottom of the phone is female, squared on three corners, but rounded on the remaining fourth corner. However, the AC power cord that came with the phone is male and shaped differently--two square corners on bottom, but two indented corners on top. I was also provided with adapters with the phone---one for 3.5mm headphone jack and the AC power cord, plus another adapter for other things or a combination of the above.
1) Can I plug the AC power cord directly into the bottom of the phone even though the shape of the connectors don't match? I'm very confused as to the terminology of all these different type of connectors.
2) Can someone please SHOW me (visually) the differences are and name each one?
3) Which one is truly Mini-USB" and which one is " ??? whatever it's called?"
4) Also, can anyone point me where I can get screen protectors that fit the entire glass area of the touch similar in shape to the one (single one) that came in the box?
Any help would be greatly appreciated! I went back to the Sprint store but they didn't know either. - Confused.
OK, I cannot show you a visual, but I can explain it to you.. you are able to plug the charger directly into the Touch. The charger connection is what is called the mini USB. the connector on the bottom of the touch is HTCs 9 pin USB/audio connector.. you will see that there are two "splitters" the one that branches off to two connectors is used to connect a regular wired headset, and the Charger/USB cable to the touch. The other splitter, the one that is one cable that has the little plastic fitting on the end with the LED in it is used to connect the charger/USB cable, and the supplied Headphone/headset or the 3.5MM audio jack, used to connect to regular headphones or PC speakers...
