Help for a newbie

Hi all,

This is my first post here, so hello to everybody, and thanks in advance for any help

I've recently got an O2 XDA Stellar (HTC Tytn II), and whilst I love 99% of it, I do have a slight niggle.

Does anybody know any way I can get the device to lock (and require a password to unlock) when I press the power button. At present, this turns the screen off and locks the buttons as standard, but when I press it again I go straight back to where I was.

Seperate from this, I can set a password which is required after a certain time limit, but I don't want the device timing put and blanking the screen if I'm using the media player or GPS in the car for example.

Any help with this greatly appreciated, even if it's just "Yep, you can't do it and it irritates us too"

Cheers,
James.

Yes you can do this with password lock which is a feature of Windows Mobile. Just go to Start > Settings and you should see a Lock icon where you can configure the settings.

I am not sure about the timeout feature though but I think once your screen blanks out, it will be password locked. If your device is playing a video or doing navigation, it is dependent on the software whether it will override the power settings or not.
