More than likely due to a cheap memory card, you need a sandisk or a kingston. If you have one of these and still having issues let us know.

alright...the messenger problem might be a connection problem...do you know if it will send the message? Try to connect to wifi or data connection? its a possibility. Most the time for pocket pcs you will most likely need a .cab file to install without active sync. If it is a desktop installer a .exe it will need active sync. You just send it to your computer where ever you know where it is, connect your device and click the desktop installer. It's all self explanatory from there. There are two types of .exe files there is the desktop installer and then there are the kind that work without active sync. It's a guess and check process just click and if it asks if you want to install it will. But it will not put a shortcut in the startmenu. This is a simple fix. Just copy the .exe file and go to windows> start menu> programs> games and PASTE SHORTCUT this will save memory on your device>. I hope that helps your problems! if not give me some more details and i'll see what the problem is. I imagine that you use the msn messenger?

It sounds like you are stuck in the bootloader screen. Did the computer shut down prior to the ROM flash finishing? If so try flashing the ROM (but make sure the computer or phone won't shut off). If you want more advise, do a search in regards to the bootloader screen. It looks like it is a common problem when flashing the ROM. Hope this helps, but I have to say my knowledge is limited.

New here, so forgive me if this has been answered elsewhere, but...

Is there a listing or decription of what these programs/files are and what they do? There are a few that look interesting, however, I don't want to load something on a "guess" and then regret it later.

Thanks!

Are claunch and home plugin 1.5 compatible to work together at the same time? I want the icons and the big clock. Is installing these two the right way to go?

I went ahead and installed claunch because my eyes just couldn't read the fine print on the Today screen. I love the icons. Now if I could just get the big clock on there....

I found a clock program and one that let me map the device lock to the softkey. Now my ppc rocks!

Hi,

I am pretty new to this area. I just got the Cingular 8125 (pass me down) back in Feburary from my brother. I had been down here back then and registered here.

I am trying to learn more about my 8125. There are a few issue I am running into that I could not figured out why.

1. Wifi setup for my home network.
2. My PocketPC running slow down to almost a freeze. The only thing I had loaded on it was a couple of games. (IE: Bejewed, Space Trader.)

How can I solved these problems?

Welcome to the Addiction! If your brother was using his PPC to browse the web a lot, it's likely there's a lot of leftover temp files and such that are causing the performance issue. There are a number of programs out there (I use MemMaid) that will clean up these temp files, dead registry entries, etc and speed things up. It's kind of similar to running a defrag on you PC.
