Thumbs down recovering the factory installed OS in the ROM of Pocket PC

I have got an Imate Pocket PC. While installing full device upgrade, I erased its original software from ROM. The upgrade did not work. I am getting a blank screen now. Hard reset also does not work. Unfortunately I didn't backup my original ROM image. How Can I fix this problem? Since the device cannot be turned on, it also cannot be connected with my desktop/laptop through Microsoft Active Sync.

Thanks for the mail. What other information I need to Provide? I have got I-mate Pocket PC-phone edition. IMEI number of my device is as follows:

I tried to run the upgrade again in the light of following instructions received from Technical support of Imate:
Removed SD/MMC card from my PPC after removing it from USB cradle.
Removed the selection "Allow USB Connection with this desktop computer" in Microsoft ActiveSync.
Reconnected my i-mate PPC to the Desktop PC in Boot loader mode using the USB Cradle with Charger Connected to the Cradle and executed the upgrade programme.

Again I got the same following message:

ERROR 100: MODEL ID ERROR

The ROM image that you are trying to use is not designed to work with your Pocket PC. Please check the vender web site and download the correct ROM update.

I would be grate if you people could kindly help me out. God bless you.

Dr. Ali Ahmed Arain

Ok you need to provide what Imate ppc you have, is it a jas jam, jas jar, k jam, jam? this is the information you need to provide. Also since I doubt its unlocked what service provider do you have. What type of rom was on it? Was it a tmobile rom, vodafon?

And please never ever give anyone your imei information you can be in a world of hurt if it falls into the wrong hands.

Its like giving someone your ssn and credit card.

Thanks for the guidance. Actually my knowledge regardings these things is very poor. I have got Imate Pocket PC phone edition. Specifications of the device may pleae be seen at Club i-mate - i-mate Pocket PC Phone Edition. I am not sure about type of ROM but I can check with Imate people. I would be grateful if you could kindly let me know a possible way-out to make my device operational. God bless you.

Dr. Ali
