Alltel service. I am fairly new to this phone, and new to this forum. I have learned how to do most things to use the phone. I am trying to tie to the internet with wifi on a cradlepoint router. The problem is that cradlepoint goes to a screen to enter password and when I enter it the area blanks and asks again. I think the problem is that the screen which is for a regular pc does not pick up my entry to send on. I see the router as connected to the 6700 both on the screen that I get with wifi settings on the 6700 and the router which I can access from another pc. I see the "LEAP" screen but do not understand it and when I enter my info it doesn't help. When I try internet explorer it goes to the cradlepoint screen but I can't get past it. The high school drop-outs on the Alltel desk try to blame it on the Sprint 595U card in the cradlepoint, but I know it is not that. Any suggestions appreciated.
The mobile version of Internet Explorer built into WM is a very pale cousin of the desktop version and is fundamentally lacking in scripting and Java support. You might want to try the trial version of Opera's mobile browser to see if solves the sign-in problem for you. I use NetFront and have found that it has taken care of almost all the security and scripting errors I had with sites on PIE.
