ok so i hava a 8125 pocket pc without a data plan...and in the comm manager there is a switch that says turn on wi-fi...so i did and it said that a wireless network was detected...this wireless network is free internet, but will i still get charged even if i dont have a data plan? help greatly appreciated!!!
he is right it wont charge you as long as your phone doesn't say gprs connecting you are free of charge. There is a way you can delete the media net setting all together so you can be positive you are not being charged. Also to back up my fellow replier 8125 is a very popular phone and pretty much anyone here has a pocket pc hence the title of the website(not trying to be rude)Hope this helps and welcome
please understand that cingular does lock there wifi so you have to go into the wlan settings to change this, if it doesnt connect to gprs which it does auto, then you can connect then dont worry about it, if you are check out our download section where you can select no data and download and install so you know there is no data transmitted with gprs.
