Hi
I have returned my new Touch after it dropped calls and would freeze up completely. The only thing to do was pop out the battery out, nothing else would unfreeze it. Now, the one I exchanged it for just did this, has anyone else experienced this problem? Was there a buggy first batch made?
freezing is usually due to lack of memory make sure you have plenty of memory available. Or possibly a large program

I sometimes have the same problem. Haven't exactly nailed down the reason, but I think it helps to close the programs you've previously if you're not using them anymore (ie: contacts, calendar, emails, etc.)
I only had that problem when I'm running certain programs (using Opera browsing the website that is full with Flash content or large content)
I usually don't get it frozen up receiving calls or doing small tasks. Maybe you opened too many programs on and didn't close it?
When you click "X" it doesn't close the program. It only minimizes it. You have to click the top right arrow again and then the list of programs currently running will show.
