I have double icons for an installed program in the Programs Screen (Cingular 8125). Is there
any way to delete one of them? When Im in the Programs screen, I can highlight one of the icons, but I see no way to delete it.
Thanks
Use your file explorer to navigate to Windows\Start Menu\Programs where you will find the .lnk files that are the shortcuts to launch apps through the Programs window. You can delete th duplicate .lnk file there.
SO If we wanted to remove the link from the start menu just delete the .ink file. What about removing them from the programs page, cut out the ones we dont use. I have a bunch that I don't use like "get teleNav". I am never going to use this. Or even better how can I delete it from the system.

Thanks YanyeeJeep, it worked just as you said it would. I appreciate the help.

If there are shortcuts you want to keep off the Programs display but might want to retain in case you might want to use them at a leter time, just create a 'dummy' folder called something else (like DisabledStartItems) and move the shortcuts there.
In the case of bundled apps you want to delete from your device altogether, you can check for them in Settings' Remove Programs list to see if they are there. If not, most likely they are stored in the OS ROM image and you really cannot permanently delete them, so getting rid of the shortcut is about your only course of action.
