I would like to get your assistance. I want to enable my O2 Atom Exec to retrieve my gmail and yahoo email accounts. Would you help me configure my PPC?
Incoming Mail (POP3) Server - requires SSL:pop.gmail.com Use SSL: Yes Port: 995 Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server - requires TLS:smtp.gmail.com (use authentication) Use Authentication: Yes Use STARTTLS: Yes (some clients call this SSL) Port: 465 or 587 Account Name: your Gmail username (including @gmail.com) Email Address: your full Gmail email address (username@gmail.com) Password: your Gmail password
Open Messaging on your device
Tap Menu - Tools - New Account
Screen 1/4: Enter your email address. Tap Next
Enter your name, Username and Password. Check Save Password. Tap Next.
Select POP3 as Account type
Set Gmail as name. Tap Next
Enter settings for incoming and Outgoing mail. Tap Options.
Make sure that Internet is slected in connection if using gprs to connect. Tap Next.
Set the the number of messages you want displayed
Set require SSL, Use sepearate settings and click Outgoing settings.
Set Require SSL and click OK. Click Next
Select if you want to download headers only or full message. Click Finish.
Click Send/Receive to start downloading emails.

For Yahoo, you can also go the route of setting up an IMAP inbox. The process is generally as oulined by Linley for Gmail.
Account type: IMAP4
Incoming server: imap.mail.yahoo.com
Outgoing server: smtp.mobile.mail.yahoo.com
Make sure you have outgoing server authentication turned on and SSL turned off.
