I find that I must perform an "Allign Screen" every couple of days with my Cingular 8125. Does anyone else have this problem with this model? Is there a fix, or do I simply have a phone that goes out of allignment all the time? Thanks.
I have the same issue. I sometimes have to do it 3 or 4 times A DAY! I do have the protection plastic cover on it u can purchase so i think that may have to do with it. But I notice it happens more so when I go between normal and landscape. Also try not to keep it in ur pocket or purse or bag. It tends to not like that. I have not found a fix...i just keep re-aligning it.
After 2 weeks with the 8125, I placed a protector on it. Decided I didn't like it and removed. That is when alignment problems popped up. Even Unlock would not Unlock. Had to slide open to use keypad Unlock. Had to align 3-4 times daily.
Decided to really clean screen and that is when I noticed the small gap between case and screen. Decided to turn off unit, and then with index finger I pressed down firmly and applied pressure up-down-sideways. That was 4 days ago and the "problem" seems to be fixed.
After having to perform a Screen Allignment sometimes 3 times/day, I called Cingular and they sent me a new 8125. No problems with the new phone. I appreciate their good customer service.
