hey all, first post here and a proud new owner of the 8125. Having a small issue though and need a few tips. When setting the time and my time zone, whenever i set the zone to US eastern it sets my clock one hour ahead of what it should be. I have temporarily set the time zone to central so that at least the time will display correctly. Any ideas on what the problem is or anyone else have this issue?

Hi. I have the same problem. Every time I do a synch it resets the time to an hour later than it actually is (I also live in the Eastern time zone. Did you ever figure out how to fix it?
I had the same problem. What I did to fix it was twofold. First I went into my Activesync settings and set Activesync to stop syncing my time. I think it was in my options setting on my pc.
The second thing I did (I think this was a major source of my problem) was I went into my phone dialer options. (Press Green Call button, then menu, then options, then I scrolled over to the "time zone" tab. I unchecked the "automatic change time zone". That fixed it.
Later I had to swap my 8525 for another one due to some other problems. On my new device I am not having the same problem (I have not used the settings I gave above).
I hope this helps...It sure did annoy me...also if those things don't help...either swap it out at a Cingular store, or call HTC..they can swap stuff out to.
Turning off the option to sync your ppc time with PC time seems to work. Even though both times are the same it always syncs my ppc one hour ahead. After that little fix i havent had a problem and I didnt have to even go with the previous posts second fix.
