Alright now, starting out I would stand right next to your modem, like 2 feet away.
At the bottom right of your screen, right above contacts, there is a little coconut looking thing.. click on it. Icons will appear
---------------
first one is the phone (top left)
then blue tooth (top right)
then wifi (middle left)
and express mail (middle right) ((which you have to pay for, it probably will be greyed out for you unless you payed for it))
Then GPRS - you pay for that. That is greyed out and you cant click on it, BUT when you press the internet button it will say, "connecting to GPRS" cancel that.. I think you have to pay for that, im pretty sure.
Then you have your sound button and your active sync.
---------------
Click on the wifi button and once it greens, x-out of that.
Now, if I remember correctly, a notification will come up, click it, click connect, then it will ask you for your key (on the bottom of your DSL moden or wireless router) type that in and BAM! there ya go.
Now you open the internet and your on. You can test out and see how far you can go because with the wifi its limited. VERY limited.
When ever you see "connecting to GPRS" cancel it. IF YOU CANT, click on the little coconut icon at the bottom and the GPRS icon will be green. Click on it to disable it.
hehe, Ive had the phone for 4 days havent gotten my first bill yet.. but considering that when ever im no where near a wifi connection it says connecting to GPRS, you probably ahve to pay for it. Oh, and I googled it and it said you do :P
Im thinking this.
When you go to new houses (routers) you have to do it all over, and Im thinking it collects it into a library.
you can go to Start>Settings>Connections and click on Network Cards and youll see what I mean...
you only have to gdo these steps once for every router, after that you can click on the coconut looking thing and click on wifi icon or you can go to the top of the screen (right) and there will be a big E .. click on that and it will say "connect to wifi" click that and it will work.
