I've read the posts contained on these forums r.e. changing Windows Mobile 5.0 ringtone length through a registry editor.
I have a 02 Atom exec and have been trying to increase the length of my MP3 ringtones using the registry editor but have NOT been successful. I change the ringtone length codes only to find that the codes don't seem to translate at all to ringtone length.
For example, I tried changing the ring setting to 1 and it rang for 15 secs, when it was set to 2 it rang for 11, when set to 9 it only rang for 10 secs.\
Is there any sort of trick that I'm missing ? Does the ringtone length/duration have any relationship to the MP3 file size, bitrate etc ? I'm pulling my hair out here as I only have 15 sec to answer the sucker but in sincerity I need it to ring for at least 35 seconds.
