Ok, I'm a newbie to PPC phones - I've been a treo/palm user for years, but just can't take the unreliability anymore. I have the Tmobile MDA, which I believe is the HTC Wizard.
With that being said, there's a quirk of the OS that I can't figure a way around. For most things that I need to do, I can do a combination of screen taps with my finger, and/or button/kepboard presses. However, that tiny, annoying, "X" or "OK" icon in the upper right of the screen is vexing me. Is there any way to make it larger, or map it to a button, or something so that I can easily tap it with my finger?
Bryan
P.S. - I'm totally a convert to the pocket pc OS. I finally have a smartphone that works like a smartphone should, and is reliable taboot.
You can assign a button to close your programs, but note that it will only minimize the application. Go to Start > Settings > Buttons. Select a button and choose Ok/Close in the Assign a Program drop down list. If you want to be able to really close applications on your PDA, google "Magic Button".

Ah! Thank you! That is a tremendous help. So, without the magic button application, how would one actually close an app? I had been wondering why the phone was acting so sluggish, and it was because there were a LOT of open apps that I thought I had been closing. Is there a reason you'd want to leave an app running?
There is no builtin app that lets you close an application. Magic Button has the advantage of being free and it really works. As you said yourself, leaving many applications running in the background will affect performance.
