Hi coldblooded357,
I have Cingular and PDA Conect Plan, I do it this way on my set up:

Connect your USB, tap programs, tap Wireless Modem, set connection type to USB. Tap Menu, then tap Start. Your lap top will detect New Hardware. You will need your CD that came with your 8525. (If you don't have a CD, try the drivers below. Scan the file with your AV, then unzip to your desktop and direct the Hardware Wizard to that location.) Once your new Modem is installed on your PC, open Network Connections, double click on HTC Modem. In the connect screen that comes up, leave all blank except the number to dial, there put *99# and click connect. If you are not in a 3G area, it will be slow, but it is faster than regular dial up. If you don't have a data plan, it will cost you $.

I hope this helps,
Tedd1
