Hi im new,dumb and need help with my O2 Atom

I just purchased a used O2 XDA ATOM and i love eveything about it, except the fact that when evver I try to acces the internet when its not plugged into my laptop i get this error message "The page cannot be found. check that the name is right and try again", my friend has the same phone and i made sure all our settings were the same but his works and mine dosnt please help

Let's start with this:

Open Internet Explorer and tap Menu - Tools - Options - Memory tab. Press the Clear History and Delete files Button. Under Security tab, press Clear Cookies button. After completing these steps you can try to open a page to see if it works but I usually recommend a soft reset before.

thanks for the advice but it still did not work , i have the same poblem , it works when its synced to my computer though but as soon as i go wi-fi it says the same thing
