So I have had my 8525 for about a week now. Basically there are three questions I have.
1.) Is there anyway I can get the screen to stay oriented to the Left handed landscape mode?
2.) Some of my personal wav files (stored under Windows file) do not play in sounds and notifications, but will on the computer and in WMP. One Person said that they were too big, but one is 43.3kb and the other is 18kb. Out of the three I put in there only one worked and it is 30kb. Does anybody know why this would happen?
3.) Also was anybody able to get MortRing to work on their 8525? I am trying to make unknown callers play a specific wav file. And I am trying to get business callers to play Johnny Paycheck.
I searched the entire site over and under to make sure that these are not repeating threads, any ideas? I have tried everything I can think of.

For #1... goto settings (hit "window" button) then click the "system" tab at bottom...then find the program/icon "Screen" that should give you the option...
#2 Try converting them all to .wav (many free appz found on internet for this)
#3 When an unknown caller calls in...goto the history and hold down on the name...and "add caller to contacts" goto your contact list and find the option for "ring tone" and choose your ringer.
I tried to do the screen orientation thing. But that only keeps the screen like that until it turns itself off or you use the keyboard.
As for the sound files, they are already wavs. So far I have had three do it to me. And they have all been wavs. They play in the media player but not when somebody calls, or in the sounds and notifications.
The unknown caller thing, I will try that. It didnt even occur to me that it could be that simple.
assign all your contacts with a specific ring tone. then have a default ring tone set up for all other calls. there is no other way to have unknown callers to have their own ring tone.
I play mp3 ring tones, wav format is for your alarm and notifications and things like that. If you want a great program for ringtones check out djtonexpress.com It's great! hope this helps, P.
I found an application online that wasn't too bad it was 19.99 and it even will automatically adjust your volume based on the time of day. Like for me when I got to work I constantly forget to turn the volume down on my phone.
This is on top of assigning a specific ringer for unknown callers, callers without caller id, a general ringer, and one for each category. Its pretty cool its called mRing.
