I posted this a while back and got no response then . Just wodering if anyone can come up with a solution. I just bought the Tytn, and all phone numbers appear in this format (xxx)xxx-xx. This is totally confusing with 8-digit phone numbers.
How can you get rid of the brackets and the hyphen.
Thanx
Never noticed this on mine (Dopod 838 Pro - very similar to TyTN). Perhaps it is something amiss in your Start Menu -> Settings -> System -> Regional Settings ? Maybe you have it set for another region and therefore it is formatting incorrectly?
Or else is it something to do with the desktop app with which you sync your TyTN, which is incorrectly set to format phone numbers in a certain way?
Ian..thanx. The regional settings are set to Greece (that's where I am), yet it still formats in the US style phone numbers. I haven't synced it with my pc yet till i sort everything out on the TyTN
That's odd. Mine is set for Australia regional settings and basically it lets me format phone numbers any way I like. I even sometimes include text in the phone number field - like which day the person is available on this number, and the device seems to handle it fine, even ignoring the text when I try to dial that number.
So sorry, I have no idea why it would be doing this. Perhaps Microsoft's website may have something on it?
Ian, my contacts list is set up much the same way. The problem occurs only with the 8- digit numbers. Intl numbers appear normal.
Thanx for your input anyway..
