I am hoping someone out there can save me a lot of heartache. I have a Mio 169 that was splashed with a mild detergent which only got in under the screen (sandwiched in between the different layers over the top of the screen). No other fluid got into the circuit board etc, but i was keen to get rid of the liquid.
SO, i very carefully opened it up and peeled back the top plastic cover (factory), then also got in underneath the glass sheet to where the liquid was and with lens cleaning type cloths, cleaned it up. After carefully putting everything back in its place, i fired it up but unfortunately now it boots up to the Align Screen page and continously loops on this screen without progressing any further.
Does anyone have any suggestions? i have trawled a few of the forums, but it is difficult finding a definitive answer that can help me.
Can i access the PDA via my PC and disable the align screen function from the Startup programs? Or is there another way around this? i have voided my warranty by opening up my PDA so i now need to sort this drama out by myself. i know my way around computers and electronics, and just need someone in the know to point me in the right direction...
can anyone PLEASE help?
i'd be eternally grateful.
cheers!
