Hey all just got my new xv6700 and i'm loving it except i cant figure out, how to put my own ringtones or mp3 as ringtones, If anyone has an idea or knows how to do it please post. I tried checking the other threads, but none of those ideas and work around worked for my phone.
[quote=dee216]ok well its fairly simple i just got the 6700 with sprint about two days ago......first you go to the file explorer click on the music folder then click and hold on the music file you want.... when the option box open click copy......after thatback out to my device, click on the windows folder ...scroll down until u see a folder that says rings....click on that folder.... it will be empty press and hold until the option appears then paste the file you copied before..... now u can use it as an ringer
The 6700 will use wav files as ringtones. It may use other formats, but I know it will accept wav files. You can, therefore use and music you can convert to a wav. That being said, you should use a shortened version of any audio clip. I used audacity, a free program to shorten the segments. Once installed to your sd card you can search for it from within your ringtone choices.
