Hi,
I was wondering that same thing for my Ubiquio 501 phone. The backlight on the keyboard stays on for 5 seconds no matter what i am doing. It's way too short and i cannot adjust it in the settings anywhere. I have search google vigorously to try to find any Pocket PC program to fix this without any luck. Please helP! Thank you very much.

Sincerely,
Michael

I believe the backlight is hardware controlled not software so it cant be changed. Maybe with firmware update.???

It is possible to configure the backlight settings by going to Start > Settings > System > Backlight. From this screen you get to configure the backlight when running on Battery power, External Power and set the Backlight level. When running on Battery Power, for example, you set the "Turn off backlight if device is not used for" and select from a range of 10 seconds to 5 minutes. Same steps apply for External Power.
