This really SUCKS!!!

I was w9ondering if anybody knew how to retrieve files from the pc that is synced with the mobile device if the screen doesn't work on the pc. My cousins were over from Boston and they decided to use my laptop as a frisbee. The monitor is shot and , like a dimwit, I didn't back up any of my files. All my mobile files as well as everything else was on that laptop. Is there any way to retrieve the data without being able to see the monitor?????

Most laptops have either a monitor out / s-video out. Find yourself an external monitor.

Stupid question, but I'll ask anyway. Is there a function key combo you may have forgotten to press to route display out through the monitor port?
