need help on 8125!!!....

I recently bought a cingular 8125 and i think it's great!!..I'm still getting use to all the functions but one thing i don't know how to do is to download new ringtones for my notification and sounds section. For example, i would like to change my text message tone to a mp3 or wav file but it won't work even when i made it a wav file and 6 sec long!..And can someone tell me if i'm the only one having problems with very loud incoming calls?..I mean i would like to turn the volume down when when i talk to someone without having to make my incoming ringtone low too..I like loud ringtones but when someone calls from a noisy location or speaks loud it feels like it's going to pop my ear!!...any help would be great!!...Thankyou very much....

whats up dungnps?

"Text tones" can only be in WAV format...and they need to be saved to your Windows folder. Then go to Settings>Sounds & Notifications>Notifications Tab>Change the event to Messaging: New Text Message and it should be available.

as far as volumes go...when u press the lil "volume button" (located below the comm manager button), u should notice 2 seperate meters: one for ringtone volume and one for in call volume. Just adjust your In Call volume and u should be all set....or better yet, when ur on a call, just turn down the in call volume by pressing the volume button. Your ringtone levels should stay the same.

peace.

Thanks for replying i really appreciate all the help but i have already done all that and none of it seems to work. I've tried putting wav files into the windows folder and even tried the ring tone folder but it still dosen't appear when i change the message tone. I heard somebody say that it has to be only 6 sec long so i did that also and it didn't work. And about the changing the volume, everytime i change the voluome of incoming calls my ringtone volume goes down as well...Do you think there's any other ways of handling these porblems?...And Thank you for all your help...

Eyerone's solutions work. If they don't, I'd try to

1) Soft reset
2) Hard reset
3) Exchange the device

Or, you could try 3rd party software, like phonealarm.

What happens when you push the volume button, does the volume control with the two sliders pop up on the screen?

yea the two sliders do pop up, but when i turn the one for talk volume down the ringtone volume goes soft as well. Do you think it could be because of the microphone?..

The manual states that you can only change the talk volume while you are in a call. When you aren't in a call, it changes all the volumes. Again, just what I read from the manual.

The only full version of SPB Pocket Plus that would be free would be illegal. And, while you can find such a thing on the internet, you can't find it here. Sorry.

If you like it, I say buy it. Support the developer, and they'll continue to make great products.
