TomTom install problem

I hope that someone here may be able to help me with my problem. Firstly I have to say I have scored this forum and many others for a solution but have not found a definitive answer.

I have TT6 installed on my Mio P550 and it works very well with the exception that I have no voices available.

I have a “voices” directory on the PPC, I have voices in it! But TT refuses to see them.

All the literature says install to root directory in main memory. Just which is the root directory? It may seem obvious but I want to ensure my “voices” directory is in the right place. What other directories are found there. This would help to ensure I have done it right.

The location that my “voices” directory resides in also has “My Documents”, “Program Files”, “Application Date”, etc. Is this correct? If so is there a way to point TT to see it via a registry edit or some other way? Is it configurable from within TT?

The voice files I am using come in threes with the following extensions: vif, chx & bmp.

My copy of TT is installed in main memory and the maps on the SD.

Any help would be welcome.

Sorted!!!

For TT6 voices have to be in the program files\navigator\voices directory. Silly me.

Did some more searching and came across a post in a forum that refered to this directory in relation to another issue. Thought I would try it and voila sorted!

Hope this helps someone else.
