I have unlimited data on my phone, but here's my question.
Let's say if I try to connect to AIM or Agile Messenger, it says not connected. So what I do is open up Internet Explorer, and just go to any random site. Then the screen pops up saying "Connecting to Cingular GPRS". Then I go back to AIM or Agile, and it connects fine. But I've noticed after a couple of hours, and I've closed Internet Explorer, then AIM/Agile will disconnect.
Is there anyway that I can just stay connected to Cingular GPRS? As aforementioned, I do have the unlimited plan, so I'm not worried about having it connected 24/7.
What happens is IE initiates the network GPRS connection.
To do this manually, just go to your network connections dialer and connect using GPRS manually. Should be somewhere in the neighborhood of settings > connections.
