I have had this problem happen quite a few times: I go to my contacts to make a phone call and all the names are gone...my entire list is EMPTY. I always have to turn my phone off and then on again, and then they appear again. Is this just a glitch in the phone?
That is strange??? I have the 8125 also. And that has never happened to me. I would take it to Cingular, if you really press em, thell give you a new one.
Just my luck...maybe mine's a lemon. It's so annoying when I'm trying to make a call and nothing is there. I doubt Cingular will replace it just for that-- it seems to work again when I turn it off and then on.
That is strange - are your contacts stored on your device's memory or on your SIM card?
They should be stored on my device's memory, to my understanding-- I synced it up to Outlook at work and that's where all my contacts came from. Does the location the contacts are stored make a difference in this case? Thanks.
I sort of had a similar problem with the contacts not showing up. I switched my contact list to display contact names only instead of names and the numbers and that seemed to fix the situation where it wouldnt display the contacts when I brought up the contact list.
Hmm. I'm not sure if the location of the contacts makes a difference, but if you have a LOT of contacts (more than a couple hundred) perhaps there is a delay while the screen refreshes?

Mine's already on that view and it's still doing that.
