How to switch between open apps???

Hey there guys. I previosly owned mostly symbian phones. Now I have a WM5 one. So my problem is: is there any way (trick) to switch between open apps on my device? This is a prob lem for me because , for instance, I had the IMplus (mesenger app) open , my phone entered standby after the period that I chose (2 minutes) and when I tapped the screen , my app was gone somewhere in the background. So I had to look it up again through the menu, and reopen it. It was working of course, but it was in the background. So is there any way, like it is on symbian, to find your opened apps and choose which one to bring back into the mainscreen, using only a simple button press or smth like that? Or maybe at least an app to do that?

Thank you.

Check the task managers in the downloads section. Most share two helpful features. They allow you to change 'X' button behavior so it can either put apps into the background (the OS way of doing it) or actually close them. And they give quick access to your running apps list. There are many avaiable, so you can look for one that suits your taste. Just make sure you select one that is compatible with WM5. You can find more options on sites like freewarepocketpc.com and pdagold.com.

One more thing as I know u will see that I replied .. Tell me, is there a way in WM5 to change the apps that the two softkeys (right and left) will launch? Mine has Contacts and Calendar by default, and I couldnt find an option in the menu to change them.

I do not have a WM5 device with me this weekend, so I can't go into Settings. But search downloads for apps that work with the softkeys because there are several that will help with the task of assigning the keys to different apps. Tweaks2k2 is a very inexpensive commercial app that I would highly recommend that has soft key tweaks as part of its function.

try this attachment. unzip and copy to your \windows directory. it will let you reprogram your softkeys to whatever you want.
