Is there any way to set an application to run using the entire screen.
The start menu bar at the top and the menu bar at the bottom of the screen reduce the screen size of the running program.
Many apps have a full screen toggle. It is a fairly common feature on image viewers, web browsers, and readers. I do not know of any app that does this system-wide, though. The bars are too important to accessing various system functions.
I am trying to get FLYBY E6B by SkyWriter software to run on my Treo 700W. When I run the pocket PC version it squishes the application between the two bars. It is impossible to enter any variables or read any output because they are all squished together. As a stop gap I have installed a palm emulator (Styletap) and am able to run the palm version of Flyby E6B. The palm emulator shows the full screen.
I know this doesn't help much, but did you try contacting SkyWriter to see if they have a version that better supports the Windows-based Treo devices, or any square-screened pocket pc devices?
Good to hear you found a temporary workaround, though.
